ASOMATOS
Asomatos Limassol is a picturesque village in the province of Limassol, just 14 km away from the city of the same name. His name comes from the word "incorporeal", which means intangible and is related to the Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
The village is famous for its green street with cypress trees, has a botanical garden and grows citrus fruits, grapes and vegetables.
With a population of around 400, Asomatos is constantly growing due to its close proximity to Limassol and the lovely Lady's Mile beach.
Historically, the village belonged to the order of the Knights of St. John and was a mixed community until the Turkish invasion of 1974. The chapel of Panagia Galaktotrofoussa stands out, which after the fire of 2000, was revealed to date between the 11th and 12th centuries.
