ERIMI

Erimi is located close to Kolossi, Episkopi and Kourion, being part of a wider cultural area.

Artifacts from the Chalcolithic era have been found in the village. According to Louis de Mas Latry, the Desert was a settlement of the Grand Commandery during the medieval era. It was recently discovered in Erimi, the oldest sacred site of Cyprus, by the scientific mission of the University of Siena. It is a 4000-year-old temple that was created in a place where the workshop of a craftsman of the time was located.

Both dryland and irrigated crops such as citrus fruits, vines, vegetables, olives and locust beans are cultivated in the agricultural lands of the community. In spring, a rich variety of wildflowers creates a rare feast of colors. The flowery gardens with exotic plants are also impressive.
